VCi Android application – completed

Our latest mobile app has just been finished and accepted by the customer (as version 1.0) – so congratulations to all concerned! It’s taken over 6 months of development.

The application is used by engineers (so reports a listing of jobs available to them) and allows them to retrieve appropriate details and update job statuses as necessary.

Some interesting features :

  • App functionality is customised based on a user’s permissions
  • App can run in an ‘offline’ mode – queuing up packets to be sent when network connectivity is re-established (this allows it to work in areas of no network coverage, without affecting the user experience).
